Everything you need to know about using a back support
Do you have back complaints or are you looking for the right support, for example during sports? Podobrace has a very wide range of back supports for various complaints. We are happy to give you more information about our products and their use. Read on below:
For which complaints is wearing a back brace recommended?
With back complaints, it is essential to give your back the right support. Wearing a back brace stabilises the back and relieves pain. It also improves your posture, allowing your back to recover faster from back pain. A back support can be used for numerous conditions and injuries. We have listed some of them for you below:
- Hernia
- Instability
- Scoliosis
- Spondylodesis
- Back osteoarthritis
- Back fracture
- Osteoporosis
What type of back support is suitable for me?
The type of back support you need strongly depends on the nature of your complaints. Podobrace has a very diverse range of back supports. For example, we have the Gladiator Sports Back Support with Busks for moderate and severe back pain. We also have a back support that can be worn especially for heavy work, for example in construction or industry. This is the LP Support Industrial Back Brace. We also have the ideal brace for minor back pain: the Dunimed Back Brace (without busks) is ideal for use with minor complaints. A complete overview of all our back supports can be found on our Podobrace.co.uk website.
How long should I wear a back support?
How long a back support should be worn depends on the nature of your symptoms. Everybody reacts differently and feels pain differently. Our therapists advise you to wear the back support when you are in real pain. You can remove the brace when the pain has clearly subsided. If in doubt, always consult a therapist.
What size back support is suitable for me?
Back supports are available in various designs and sizes. At Podobrace.co.uk, you will find a size chart and corresponding instructions on each product page. Follow these instructions carefully, and you can be sure to get the right size. Still in doubt? Then you can always contact our customer service team.
