Knee Support

What does a knee brace do?

A knee brace is a medical device that provides support to the knee. You need this support when you experience complaints in the knee joint. This may be caused by overuse or overstretching, for example. The advice is therefore to wear a knee brace. When you wear a brace, the knee is restricted in making certain movements. So this does not mean that you are restricted from walking or working. On the contrary, you are free to move with a knee brace, only the brace provides certain pressure that supports the knee joint. By wearing a brace, the knee joint is thus supported and symptoms will diminish. In most cases, you will recover completely from your symptoms.

When to wear a knee brace?

It is important to wear the knee brace when you experience the symptoms. Is this during your work, for example? Or during the moments you have spare time? Then wear the brace only during these moments. In this way, the effect of the knee brace is at its best. At all other times, we recommend not wearing the brace.

How tight should the brace be?

What is essential is that the knee brace has the right fit. A knee brace can easily slip because the upper leg is thicker than the lower leg. Therefore, always make sure you choose the right size. If the knee brace is pulled too tightly, you may experience tingling in your feet. On the other hand, it is important that the brace does not slip. It is therefore essential that you measure your knee properly. Read the size chart on the product pages carefully. If you have any questions, you can of course always contact us.
