What is a finger splint?

A finger splint is a bandage that stops the finger joint from making certain movements. This is because you slide your finger into the splint, and the splint then prevents the finger from moving. On the underside of the finger is an elongated lower surface that cannot move. Attached to the lower surface are a kind of rings that fall around your finger. So you slide the finger splint around your finger like a ring. This keeps the splint in place and gives the finger a rest.

When should I wear the finger splint?
